Treatment of Thread Veins
Sclerotherapy
The treatment is called sclerotherapy. It is a simple, straightforward procedure, giving excellent results. It involves a series of small injections with a tiny needle of a 'sclerosant' solution to the affected areas. The solution sets up an irritation in the vein wall, which, on compression of the vein, causes it to close and therefore fade. It is a safe and well-established practice.
